CERTA | Certified Roofing Torch Applicators TRAINING

The MRCA and the United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers were the primary sources of training information when the CERTA program was developed in 2001. This course is offered in-person only, in English and Spanish and has up-to-date information for an improved learning experience for your crew members. The MRCA’s objective in creating this program is to provide the same information to all roof applicators and to teach them WHY they need to do things, not just what they need to do. The MRCA’s CERTA courses are offered nationwide, at your location or a training center near you.

For 50+ years the MRCA has provided industry leading training programs and the new virtual applicator training for building envelope specialty contractors is no exception. 

The CERTA training program is ideal for contractors whose work involves torch applications. The full-day program trains experienced roof system installers on the safe use of roofing torches in polymer-modified bitumen roofing product applications. CERTA training shows how proper roof system configuration, design, and application techniques can result in fire-safe installations. Total Pro Safety works with the MRCA and NRCA to ensure that the training is the most up-to-date program offered within the industry.
