Fire Safety Training:

Bi-Lingual OSHA Compliant Fire Safety Training and/or MRCA Certified Roofing Torch Applicator (CERTA) training with an emphasis on propane fired roofing torches, and flammable materials safety.
OSHA Fire Safety training covers all of the standard “CERTA” fire safety subjects at an authorized user level of content and uses OSHA, the International Building and Fire Codes as a basis for the requirements in the training session.
“CERTA” certification includes registration in the National Roofing Contractors Association’s CERTA database.

The Fire Safety course includes all of the subjects required by OSHA and the subjects required in the National Roofing Contractors Association’s CERTA applicator training. TPS instruction includes the additional information employers are required to provide roof workers who use more than roofing torches.

NRCA Certified Roofing Torch Applicator Program (CERTA Applicator) Fire Safety Training

TPS is pleased to be able to offer the Midwest Roofing Contractors Association's standardized version of the Certified Roofing Torch Applicator (CERTA) program!

The MRCA and the United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers were the primary sources of training information when the CERTA program was developed in 2001.

This course is offered in-person only, in English and Spanish and has up-to-date information for an improved learning experience for your crew members. The MRCA’s objective in creating this program is to provide the same information to all roof applicators and to teach them WHY they need to do things, not just what they need to do.

The MRCA’s CERTA courses are offered nationwide, at your location or a training center near you.
